Words of Proactive Passivity

Not doing certain things is a doing in itself. But, how would you train your mind not to do things? Your mind is only trained to do.

Perseverance, is all about the compromises you dont make and Planning, is all about the chances you dont take.

Words which convey these things, are a boon to the Human mind. They make these things doable.

In our honest effort to provide help to a seeker, more often than not, we end up communicating our fears. Thus we take the person two steps back from the starting position.

The next time you hear yourself saying, ponder what you want to say: "Dont spill the tea over the speckless white dhoti" or "Keep your hand steady"

It seems to me that the basic functional units in our minds, are images. Give the mind an image, and it works in its own way to make it happen, filling up all the details that makes an image a reality. Which is why, saying " Don't get nervous", to a friend, isn't half as good as saying " Go and give a fantastic performance". My mom says that positive words can make all the difference in the long run.

But if the mind does live upto images, then it seems important that we choose the kind of images that go in. And we might want to first figure out what kind of images we've been living up to so far. A lot of us haven't really chosen those.
:)
Nice post!
